Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FieldView Technologies, Inc. (“FieldView,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at fieldview.ai, the FieldView application at app.fieldview.ai, our mobile and smart-glasses apps, and the inspection pages we deliver to vehicle owners (together, the “Services”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Service.
1. Our role
FieldView is used by dealerships and repair shops (“Customers”). When a Customer records inspections, adds vehicle owner details, or sends inspection results through FieldView, we process that information on the Customer’s behalf and under its instructions, as its service provider. The Customer’s own privacy policy governs how it uses that information. If you are a vehicle owner and have questions about your information, please contact the dealership or shop that serviced your vehicle. We will help Customers respond to those requests.
For information we collect for our own purposes, such as account details of Customer staff, website visits, and sales inquiries, FieldView decides how it is used, and this policy applies directly.
2. Information we collect
Information Customers and Users provide
- Account information: name, work email, phone number, role, and the dealership or shop you work for.
- Inspection recordings: video, audio, and images captured during a vehicle walkaround, including a technician’s voice and narration. Recordings may incidentally capture other people, license plates, or items in or around the vehicle.
- Vehicle and inspection information: VIN, year, make, model, mileage, repair order details, measurements, inspection results, and recommended work.
- Vehicle owner information: name, phone number, and email address that a Customer provides so we can deliver inspection results.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as demo requests and support questions.
Information we create
- Transcripts, translations, completed inspection forms, flagged issues, and narrated customer videos generated from inspection recordings.
- Vehicle owner responses, such as whether recommended work was viewed, approved, or declined.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, and actions taken in the Services, along with timestamps and logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and keep the Services secure, and we may use analytics cookies to understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Services may not work without them.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Services, including processing recordings to fill in inspections, create transcripts and translations, and produce customer videos and reports.
- To deliver inspection results to vehicle owners by text message or email on a Customer’s behalf, and to record their responses.
- To create and manage accounts and provide customer support.
- To secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To maintain and improve the Services, including the accuracy of our inspection results, as permitted by our agreements with Customers.
- To communicate with you about the Services, including service announcements and, where allowed, product updates.
- To comply with law and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- With the Customer: information in a Customer’s account, including inspections and vehicle owner responses, is available to that Customer and its authorized Users.
- With vehicle owners: inspection videos and reports are shared with the vehicle owner the Customer selects.
- With service providers: companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, AI processing (for example, speech recognition and language models), text message and email delivery, and customer support tools. They may use information only to provide services to us.
- For legal reasons: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of FieldView, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
5. Text messages
We send text messages to vehicle owners only on behalf of a Customer that has provided their number for that purpose. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messages from that Customer through FieldView, or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
6. Retention
We keep Customer Content for as long as the Customer’s account is active or as the Customer directs. When a Customer’s subscription ends, we delete or de-identify its Customer Content within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it longer to comply with law or resolve disputes. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to get a copy of it, or to opt out of certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request about information FieldView controls, email contact@fieldview.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If your request is about information we process for a Customer, such as an inspection of your vehicle, we will refer you to that Customer or forward your request to it. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
9. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where information is processed
FieldView is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice, such as by email or in the app.
